Description
These spicy chicken sliders are not only delicious, but they also make for fantastic easy chicken appetizers at any gathering. The combination of the gooey cheese, tender chicken, and the unique kick from the buffalo sauce creates an irresistible flavor profile.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works wonderfully for convenience)
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or pepper jack for extra spice; feel free to mix cheese varieties for a richer taste)
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened (this adds a creamy texture that complements the chicken)
1/4 cup buffalo sauce (adjust based on spice preference; consider using a milder sauce for a less spicy kick)
1 teaspoon garlic powder (adds a savory element)
1 teaspoon onion powder (for depth of flavor)
Salt and pepper to taste (freshly cracked black pepper is recommended for added aroma)
1 package (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (look for high-quality dough for best texture)
1 tablespoon olive oil (extra virgin will add more flavor)
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (adds a nice herbaceous note)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (for added flavor on the crust)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (freshly grated is ideal for better flavor)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish; adds a pop of color and freshness)
Extra buffalo sauce (for drizzling, optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cheese, cream cheese, buffalo sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
Take the refrigerated biscuit dough out of the package. Separate the biscuits and flatten each one slightly.
Place a generous spoonful of the chicken filling in the center of each flattened biscuit.
Gather the edges of the biscuit dough over the filling and pinch them together to seal.
Place the sealed buns seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown and cooked through.
Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly. Drizzle with extra buffalo sauce if desired and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
