Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, season the steak bites with salt and pepper. Sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes until browned on all sides but not fully cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until translucent. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the orzo to the skillet and stir to combine with the onion and garlic. Toast the orzo for about 2 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent sticking.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat and let simmer for about 10-12 minutes, or until the orzo is al dente.
  5. Once the orzo is cooked, lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream, butter, garlic powder, and dried thyme. Mix until the butter has melted completely and the sauce is creamy.
  6. Finally, return the steak to the skillet and add the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until the steak is heated through and evenly coated in the creamy sauce.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Serve immediately.
