Description
A simple yet delicious recipe for slow cooker potatoes that are creamy, buttery, and garlicky, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale:
- 2 pounds of baby potatoes (Yukon Gold or red potatoes)
- 1 packet of ranch dressing mix (or 1/4 cup homemade ranch seasoning)
- 1 cup of heavy cream or sour cream
Instructions
- Wash and scrub the baby potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt. Leave the skin on for added texture and flavor.
- Place the cleaned potatoes into the bottom of your slow cooker, spreading them out evenly.
- In a separate bowl, combine the ranch dressing mix with the heavy cream (or sour cream). Stir until it is well mixed and smooth.
- Pour the creamy ranch mixture over the potatoes in the slow cooker, ensuring all the potatoes are coated. Give them a gentle stir.
- Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, check the consistency and remove the lid if you prefer a thicker sauce.
- Once the cooking time is complete, taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley or chives before serving.
