Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Add the cold cubed butter to the flour mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your hands, work the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the honey, milk, and vanilla extract.
